Bhusal threatens to ban big 3 leaders in villages

PALPA, DEC 16 - CPN-Maoist Spokesperson Pampha Bhusal has remarked that the elections announced by the syndicate of three political parties would not acceptable to her party.

She warned that the leaders of UCPN (Maoist), Nepali Congress and CPN-UML would not be allowed to enter into the 80 percent of land captured by the Maoists during the decade-long conflict if the parties announced the elections in a unilateral manner.

Addressing the first Palpa district convention of the CPN-Maoist, leader Bhusal stressed on the need to hold all-party talks and forge consensus to end the political deadlock.

"We should ban the leaders from entering the villages if they decided to go for elections at the direction of foreigners by disregarding the people's issues," said the CPN-Maoist leader. She claimed that the government would not be able to conduct elections in April-May next year.

She remarked that the election conducted under the status quo would be meaningless.
